What it does
Digital cameras are profuse, mobile cameras are everywhere, which means photos have proliferated hugely during the last decade. So what do you do with all those pictures? Share them, no doubt. SnapMyLife is an app which helps you achieve just that. It’s easy to get started. Sign up is required. Afterwards, just upload your photos from your mobile phone—you’re given a private address to send them to. These photos are then added to your private photo stream. You can set up a network of friends and get alerts each time your friends adds a new picture. Add comments too. Video capability is coming soon. Works with your iPhone too.
In their own words
“Instantly publish and share mobile photos with friends or the world”
Why it might be a killer
This is a dead simple photo sharing site. It’s not bloated with unnecessary features. It keeps things plain and to the point. Great for sharing photos with family, with minimal effort.
Some questions
There are so many photo sharing sites on the web—this one is merely another drop in the ocean. It lacks in features—even the FAQ’s could use some work. Most likely will get lost in the mire.

What it does
QCodo is an open source PHP 5 framework which facilitates coding. It has an object oriented framework which provides rapid application development. Prototypes are ready in minutes, not hours. Iterations area available in hours, not weeks. The framework is made of two components: the Code Generator and Qforms. The Code Generator analyzes the structure of your data model to generate object code and basic HTML pages to create, restore, update and delete those objects. This allows for the developer to focus on other tasks. Qforms provide a single platform for writing web controls. Design and logic are divided, allowing for less code repetition and grouped controls. The download is free.
In their own words
“The Qcodo Development Framework is an open-source PHP 5 framework that focuses on freeing developers from unnecessary tedious, mundane coding.
The result is that developers can do what they do best: focus on implementing functionality and usability, improving performance and ensuring security.
It is a completely object-oriented framework that takes the best of PHP and provides a truly rapid application development platform. Initial prototypes roll out in minutes instead of hours. Iterations come around in hours instead of days (or even weeks). As projects iterate into more cohesive solutions, the framework allows developers to take prototypes to the next level by providing the capability of bringing the application maturity.”
Why it might be a killer
This facilitates web development. Takes out repetitive coding, allowing developers to focus on other matters. Used by Nasa.
Some questions
How is this funded?

What it does
Feline fanatics, cat lovers, and kitty fiends, KittyHappy is a new social network dedicated to your furry animal friends. You’ll be greeted with an endearing ‘meow’ upon entering the site. Fortunately, the assault stops there, you’re spared the freakishly cute and overwhelmingly sweet pictures of cats in shoes, cats in trees, and cats in your lap. The site is open to cat lovers all over the world—you’ll find a map on the homepage. As with other social sites, there are groups to join, member profiles, photos, and videos. Humans, not cats are given profile space, so you won’t find anything like favorite napping spots or chew toys. However, there are plenty of photos and cat cuteness on display.
In their own words
KittyHappy
"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain
Why it might be a killer
Cute site, all in all. It has all the right features—lots of photos and videos, forums, chat, and groups.
Some questions
The meow gets old. At first it’s adorable, but after having to listen to it each time you click on a tab it gets insufferable. Also makes the site slower. Besides the meow problem, as there are already a number of cat and pet sites out there, KittyHappy will need to work on building its membership base. They should add sections for cat care tips and ideas.

It’s perfect for reminding yourself to go to a site for research if you’re a student, for checking out eBay if there’s a sale, or for sending yourself email reminders to update your profile or blog. The To View option is a good way to combat clutter and to organize sites that you need for a short period of time.
Some questions
This site’s entering a hugely crowded market. How is it going to market itself? Will it be able to gain traction?

What it does
Before you magnanimously go running off to buy your special someone a Valentine’s gift, think first. Do you really know what will make him or her smile? Was it blue or black they like best? What size do they wear? Dark chocolates or milk? These are all careful considerations to be heeded by any good lover who wants to please their significant other. If you’re a little foggy when it comes to the details, Less Memories can help. Less Memories is the site that remembers for you, hence the appellation. Simply sign up and start adding memories. Each memory is titled and saved. You can use it for everything – from grocery lists, to the great day in the park you had and wouldn’t want to forget. Once you’re box is filled with memories, you can search them. There are also addable tools such the Jott integration where you can leave your memories via phone. The toolbar/link button allows you highlight any text on a webpage and Less Memories will remember for you. Never forget again (Just try to remember your sign-in).
In their own words
“Need to remember what type of diamond rings your soon to be fiance likes? Record a memory.
At a conference? Everyone keeps handing you business cards? Record a memory for each person. In six months when you go through those cards, you'll remember who everyone is.
Wish you could back up the Notes application on your iPhone? Use Less Memories instead.”
Why it might be a killer
Less Memories is a good idea. The Jott integration really makes it worthwhile so you can simply phone in memories. It’s versatile, so it works as a sort of To-Do list as well as a journal. And the interface is easy, just like writing a note to yourself.
Some questions
Will Less Memories work? The idea is sound, but will users want to have to go through the trouble of signing in and typing notes? Most notes are written on-the-go with pen and paper.

What it does
The global world order is delving into an ever more diversified and multifaceted thing with more movement and travel than ever before. We have workers from the Philippines moving en masse to UAE, and Moroccans jumping across the Rock of Gibraltar in hopes of finding a new home in the EU. Multilingual, multinational, citizens of the world are increasingly the norm. Beetnic is for the new world order. It’s about people and cultures. Call it Facebook with a focus on culture. You can commune with friends, introduce new friends to old ones, share travel stories, get RSS feeds, email, share links, podcasts, pics, and videos and post them to other sites like Facebook or hi5. Join communibees, kind of like Facebook groups. Browse by friends, members, communibees or countries. Beetnic connects the world. Try it.
In their own words
“A place for POLYGLOTS and MULTIROOTS global minded people.
Mingle, Explore and Exchange your cultural identities.”
Why it might be a killer
Beetnic is a new and nice alternative to the other social networks out there. It offers users to participate on a more global scale with a focus on culture. Users will appreciate the multimedia embed features and communibees.
Some questions
Do we need yet another social networking site? Beetnic wants to be about polyglots and culture, but this is a hard group to get to come together and keep together. How will they develop loyalty?

What it does
Copy and paste. Copy.Paste. Copy. Paste— it’s a function so ingrained in our daily lives, it’s hard to imagine a time without control C and control V. It’s not fool proof though. For instance, don’t you hate it when you need to paste a link or an email address but you’ve lost what you’ve copied? If you could’ve just saved that last bit of text to your clipboard, life would have been that much easier. ControlC will help. It’s a new web app that acts as a repository for all things copied. It’s simple. Just register, sign in, start copying, and ControlC will upload whatever text you’ve copied to their server and store it in your own personal account. When you need that text, log in and review, or make them public so you can share with others. You can search public links and star the ones you like. Find people who share similar interests. Make friends. Social interaction is encouraged.
In their own words
“What is ControlC? It's pretty simple actually. Have you ever copied something on a webpage or in an email that you later needed to look at again but couldn't remember where you saw it?
Have you ever copied a link to a webpage and couldn't for the life of you remember the link later on?
ControlC fixes that. Anytime you copy textual content, ControlC will upload that text to our server to store under your account. When the text is uploaded, it is encrypted using your password as the key (which we will never have access to). When you need to retrieve the text, or would like to share it with other users, you can login to your account and make the items public, or simply review them for your own needs.”
Why it might be a killer
ControlC is a convenient tool that combines utility with social networking. It’s an interesting twist that ought to at least attract the curious.
Some questions
Can copy and paste networking succeed? Is it a viable idea? Or will people prefer the likes of Facebook et al?
