What it does
Scoutle is a social network based on connecting users based on their registered profile of personal websites and blogs. This social networking system runs on the concept of Automated Social Networking, or letting the site do the friend searching for users. Once users create their profile, Scoutle does the “walking” for them, scouting other users will similar qualities. Scoutle searches through other registered to find compatible users, thus connecting users who will potentially visit each other’s websites. Users have the potential to not only increase the traffic to their website, but also filter the surfers to only potentially interested visitors.
In their own words
“Scoutle is a new form of social networking we refer to as Automated Social Networking. You do not have to do anything, nor do you have to know each other and there is no need of communication in order to connect, on the contrary. Automated Social Networking is all about networking without all that. It is a way of building a network of your own choice with no real-life obligations.”
Why it might be a killer
Scoutle is a great tool for promoting and increasing quality traffic to users’ personal websites. Users’ effort is minimized, while the potential connections made is maximized. In order to be a successful network, there must be a sufficient number of users registered with the site.
Some questions
What markets should be targeted to use this system versus other social networks? How is Scoutle differentiated from other social networks? How can this differentiation be conveyed to the targeted users?
